Junk Emails Suddenly going to Inbox Feb 2023

Hi, I had my hotmail account for over 20 years and I never had an issue like this. As of this morning at 4am ALL of my junk emails are going to my inbox. No settings have been amended.

Since I've had this account for many years every 5 minutes I receive a junk in my inbox. Ive searched for a solution online but all I can see is for outlook and not outlook/hotmail 365. I've tried everything at this point, from rules to flagging wit no help. Has anyone experienced the same? Microsoft doesnt seem to have a customer service team to help?

    Wake up, Microsoft! 143 replies as I'm typing this. If that isn't proof you have a problem then I would love to know what is. Seriously, stop sleeping on the job and get this issue fixed ASAP. Accounting for repeat posters, you've got at least 140 angry customers in this thread. 140 don't even account for the people who haven't found this thread yet to post their own angry reply.

    Just got ANOTHER junk email in my inbox. This is anger inducing and frustrating as all get out.

    I've been getting that email for months. It normally just goes into my junkmail and that's the end of it. Now it's appearing in my inbox of course but either way it's unrelated to the current problem as of February 20th.

    Hi,

    I had the same problem start yesterday, 19 February.

    I have for many years had the filter set at email that are not from my contacts goes to my junk email. I haven’t changed anything and suddenly every email ends up in my inbox, both from contacts and non-contacts.

    This needs to be fixed, or Hotmail is unusable!

    Hi have the same problem, starting today. I get about 30-50 junk/phishing emails everyday, but now they are going into my inbox.

    Even before I have tried everything Windows suggested (blocking and reporting) to stop these emails entering my junk folder, but they continuously change email address so blocking and reporting never works. They all follow the same format, but Outlook filtering is absolute rubbish. Thinking about closing my email I have had for 20 years. How hard is it to block nonsense emails that obviously are fake (for example gnbvgcmib.nwxxm@klwfvt.inertia.systems).

    Please sort it out Microsoft I've wasted so much time trying to stop them, but NOTHING works.

    Same! Woke up to 158 Junk mail in my Inbox. No changes to filter etc.

    Seems to be system wide, but no response or explanation on Twitter or from Microsoft Support. I guess we wait.
