Text disappearing and reappearing while typing MS word

Thanks for your reply.

After some deep digging, here is what i discovered:

1. on same PC connected to same external screen via HDMI,DP with office 2016, everything works just fine!
2. connecting to same screen other laptop with office 2021, but via intel GPU works just fine.
3. Only where all 3 meet: windows 11, RTX 3070, Office 2021 - text disappears.

I think this issue is related to both MS & Nvidia. I will contact them as well, but as you can see here, no word from MS just yet.

I also tried to contact MS support via phone, but they refuse to provide, saying long BS i didn't even understand.

They may not wanna give support to a product we only pay once for. they want you and me to purchases a 365 subscription.

Microsoft I'm still waiting for your answer.

Update: This problem is certainly related to both office 2021 and nvidia driver. today I bought a new DP cable which is capable of 8k

at 60hz and 4k and 120 hz. my laptop has 2 DPs. one is plugged in to intel gpu, and the other to nvidia gpu. while the screen was connected to intel gpu, no problem at all. everything works flawlessly, the moment it was plugged to nvidia dp, the problem returns.

Update2: I've contacted nvidia and provided them with all evidence i have, they said: we are working with ms on a fix. I will keep posting here.

I just purchased 2 retail MS 2021 pro plus office form an authorized reseller. same problem here on 2 different brand new asus laptops.
I tried the following:

Removing office and reinstalling

Update all drivers

Update both office and windows 11

Changing some settings as suggested

NOTHING SEEMS TO WORK!

I didn't have this issue at all with office 2016.

As i read online this issue accrued already last year with a reply from an official MS agent saying: "it is being investigating by MS". I don't think you guys need a year to fix such a pathetic bug that interferes with basic typing.

NO I DON'T EXPECT MY TEXT TO DISAPPEAR AND REAPPEAR WHILE I'M TYPING!

Please fix this issue once and for all.

I have the same problem. It occurs with both MS Word and Outlook. I am using Office 2021 (not 365) on Windows 11 on a brand-new Dell PC and this has been happening since day 1 with this setup. I'm a fast touch typist and it is disconcerting/confusing to see text just disappear from the screen and then reappear seconds later. If anyone has a solution, it would be very much appreciated!

A bit more info: I have dual monitors and the problem occurs on both of them; the monitors are connected to a dedicated GPU (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti), not to the CPU graphics port; the problem does not occur when I switch my keyboard/mouse/monitors to my old Windows 10 / Office 2016 computer.

On the display it seems like the cursor jumps back to an earlier point, clearing what was typed after that, and then re-types it (while I'm typing away at a later point in the document).

Exactly the same just happened to me when I updated to the latest available build of Windows 11 22H2.

I was typing in Outlook Desktop and Word 2021 desktop and characters at the end of my sentences started disappearing and reappearing seconds later. In MS word when I clicked enter end started a new line, the whole previous line above suddenly appeared and disappeared after I continued tying,

I updated to the latest GeForce video driver, but this did not help. After rolling back to a previous build the above behavior never re-occurred, therefore I assume this might be a either a glitch in Windows GPU handling or a video driver is yet not fully compatible with the latest release. Will stay on the old one for as long as I can.
