Trying to connect message when Saving in Excel 365

Same issue in our office. All users with O365. It started over this past weekend (07/09/2022). Only Excel files when doing a Save As, Browse. Some users experience it with File Open.

All other applications work without issue. Nothing in event viewer shows any problems.

    I did a workaround. My version is currently

    Microsoft® Excel® for Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2212 Build 16.0.15928.20278) 64-bit

    I also changed my SAVED options to my local drive instead of the network drive. Since doing that, I have not see the donut circle of death for a while. Neither have I heard from other employees driven insane by watching the blue donut of death when accessing network drives in DFS.

    I have a user on version 2301 Build 16026.20200 and he is still facing this problems.

    Can you report anything different here for your environment?

    Is it gone with 2302?

    I am on 2301 (Build 16026.20146) and am still getting this issue.

    I just noticed an update to our Office package come through. I updated and now sitting at 2301 Build 16026.20200.

    I was on 2301 (Build 16026.20146) just a few hours ago. I will test this out and report back ASAP.

    2301 and yes it is still there but intermittent not all the time now.

    BTW last weeks updates killed my DNS on both DCs so MS is not my one of my favourite people at the moment.
