Excel Stocks not working in Office 365 after installing macOS Ventura v13.0

**Parameters:**Hardware: Mac mini 3.6 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i3
Software: Office 365 (v16.66.1)
OS: macOS Ventura (v13.0)
Connected Experiences: All On
Auto Update: Have always been On for both Office 365 and macOS

Additional: Nothing new has been installed on the system for over a year (other than SW updates)

TimeLine:

Two days ago: Microsoft Auto Update hung for hours

- Reinstalled MS Auto Update and was able to update MS apps
- Excel Stocks working fine yesterday

This morning: Received error message: "COULDN'T REFRESH DATA TYPES We need to fix your account. Select Microsoft Excel from the top menu > Sign Out. Then sign back in with the account associated with a subscription."

Steps Taken:
Signed out of Office 365; signed back in. No change, and "Stocks" is missing.
Hard Reboot: No change, and "Stocks" is missing.
Scoured the forums online...pretty much tried everything that I could find...

Removed Office 365 Apps, reinstalled, rebooted, etc., signed in again, verified Connected Experiences all are on, and "Stocks" shows up as a menu item: however, when clicking on it, the same error message appears ('COULDN'T REFRESH DATA...").
Removed Office 365 another two times, reinstalled, rebooted, verified Connected Experiences, etc. etc. and no change.
Nothing has changed with my Office 365 subscription (still active, valid, no additional users, etc.).

Thoughts/Questions:

Is this a problem with the latest version of Office 365 (v16.66.1)?

- If so, is there a way to roll back to an earlier version that we know works (I have researched and not been able to find out how to do this.

Is this a problem with the latest version of macOS (Ventura v13.0)?

- If so, is there a way to roll back to a previous version of macOS?

If this isn't the right forum to solve this issue, can someone point me to where I can get assistance; I'm happy to pay a fee, as I'm over four hours of spinning my wheels with everything I've tried.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can assist.

I just received this from Microsoft:

Thank you for sending Microsoft feedback. Your input is valuable to us and helps improve our products.

Your feedback directly resulted in improvements to Office and we believe your issue has been addressed in the latest version of Office 365. Thank you! To get the latest update, follow the steps here.

For your reference, you submitted the following feedback on November 3, 2022:  MacOS Ventura 13.0 users have to downgrade to Version 16.65 because all newer versions up to beta 16.68 do not support stock quotes anymore! Hi Mike,

    Thanks for the info.

I am now on Ventura 13.1 + Excel 16.64 on one MacBook and one on an iMac. Working smoothly for at least a week.I haven’t tested 16.68 yet…Since with other recent updates (after 16.64), it worked for less than 24 hours, I will try to install 16.68 in two days from now…and let the community know if it works…

I've been doing some more testing and this thing just get curiouser and curiouser.

Two macs running Ventura 13.1. The one that was basically set up from new with almost nothing installed but Office which runs Excel 16.68 just fine. The other one has the problem we've been discussing in this thread.

So I once again removed everything related to Microsoft from the problem mac. I did far more scrubbing than what Microsoft shows on their support page for removing Office. For example I removed everything in keychain related to Microsoft. I used sudo find / -type f \microsoft\ -print to track down every hidden scrap of installed files. You'd be shocked how broadly license checking stuff is scattered in places you'd never guess. Deleted all of it. But I guess there's something somewhere I'm still not finding because one machine works and one doesn't. There must be some file from a previous install (perhaps years ago) that is confusing current versions of Excel, but I'm out of ideas.

I suppose someone with better skills than mine could somehow watch all the files Excel looks at when from the time it launches until we try to update stock data and we might find out what deletions might do the trick.

Inquiring minds here want to know as well…unfortunately after two months of headaches (and only two machines, which are both production machines), I don’t have a test bed.

I thank you and everyone else here, in advance, if we finally have a verifiable solution, because as you said, neither of the big boys will give us any enlightenment.
