Hi there, just recently my OneDrive now has a "For you" section to "access my memories" and is showing some random pictures.
Is there a way to disable/turn off this feature ?

Yes, I hate the "for you" as well. I don't want it, don't need it and as everyone else said, it takes up unecessary space.
I get why new features are activated for everyone automatically, but for the group of more experienced users, we should always be able to turn them off.
I totally agree! MS OneDrive team please allow the user to easily disable this horrible, screen-space wasting, feature.
I found a work-around to hide the "For You" section. I have the AdBlock extension installed for Chrome and I used its "Hide Something On This Page" feature to hide the block that holds the "For You" section. Now I have more screen real estate than before.
Just talked to the support.
For anyone who doesn't like this, do this:
On the web version, after you log in, click the "settings" on top right corner;
Click "Options";
Click "Photos" from the list on left hand side;
Click "hide for now";

Yes, I struggle to use One Drive now, as it keeps showing me photos of my dead family, a trauma that took years of therapy to get over, but now every time I login to work (I’m a paying Office 365 subscriber) I am greeted with very painful memories that deeply impact my mental health. This is an awful feature and is quite frankly abusive. I hate social media and I don’t use it, I didn’t expect Microsoft to turn a professional cloud service into a hurtful gimmick. My files are my files, my photos are my photos, I will look at them when I choose! Fix it please, or I will be leaving your service.
Similar issue with my son.. I was met with an utterly tone deaf response from Microsoft support. I ended up having to just cull my online storage and move it elsewhere. I honestly don't know how they thought this was a good idea.
