Microsoft account unusual sign-in activity email, -----> Is this phishing?

Your wrong this not a legitimate Microsoft Account notification.

I have one from Russia/Moscow. Was in my Outlook junk folder. How can that be if it's from Microsoft, going to a Microsoft app?

Checking recent activity in my account there is nothing from Russia on that date or time

Hang on a second here ... so you're saying the email is LEGIT? Even if it has a "REPORT USER" tab that goes to some unrecognizable BFE (bum f#$k Egypt) email address???? No way, that HAS to be phishing. I've get several of these a day and report them all as PHISHING EMAILS. There's NO WAY those are legit. You should NOT be telling people those are legitimate!!!

That doesn't look like a Microsoft account to me?

I have the same issue. Thought it was genuine - even though it was in the Junk Folder (I think). It had the 4-colour logo not (shown here) so I clicked on the link to report the user whilst distracted by an incoming phone call. Then I started worrying that it was a phishing email. I have now reported it in Outlook as such.

I wish Microsoft would feed back to we loyal users now and then how successful they are in stopping/reducing these attacks. I go through quiet periods then gets dozens of phishing emails (all posted within the same one-minute time frame. I regard them junk emails as phishing, not spam or junk). Perhaps, the Junk Folder should be made a red colour and a skull and crossbones or bomb image superimposed on it to keep us alert. Also, this makes Outlook sending us ads, from companies I have never heard of, that look like emails sitting at the top of my inbox all the more egregious.

Live and learn - but I still feel bad for not having spotted this from the get-go.

The email address looks genuine until you scroll down further in the email to the optout details. Also 'account team' is incorrectly capitalised. And if the user "just logged in" why is the event dated the previous day?
