Microsoft account unusual sign-in activity email, -----> Is this phishing?

Microsoft are not going to address this issue. They don’t care about any of you nor your issues.

I report this same email multiple times a day, it's really getting old, my FB was hacked back in April and since then I get these notices everyday that someone is trying to access my email, I also get hundreds of spam emails in my inbox, I keep deleting them but they come right back. Microsoft needs to block this IP address from Russia/Moscow!!!!

I have been getting this same email recently and being spammed with 90 odd junk emails in my inbox each day. Did you find a solution to your problem?

Microsoft doesn’t consider it a problem. They believe that if hundreds of junk emails go to your junk mail box and not to your inbox, their “system” is working.

Microsoft flatly refuses to change it despite over a decade of complaints.

Initially (several years ago), Microsoft did respond to emails with promises to address the issue, and plenty of promises and reiterating their their commitment to stopping spam. All false promises and the emails from Microsoft just stopped.

I have even been trying to find out why it is that they believe this absolutely ridiculous system is what the users want, Microsoft will not respond and have no intention in resolving it.

Despite being with Hotmail for over 20 years now, I have opened a gmail account and in the (tedious) process of changing all my accounts to my new gmail address.

Microsoft does not care in the slightest.

I receive the same email almost every day. There is a button to “report the user.” What would happen if I clicked that button?

If you report the user in Junk Mail, absolutely nothing happens. This has been the issue for over a decade that we are trying to get Microsoft to address, but they will not (refuse to address it).

It is unfortunate that Microsoft are going to do nothing about this or any other issues regarding scams and junk. There are a few people on the community site that try provide some information and support, but absolutely no response from Microsoft and this specific thread has been going since 2021 with almost 600 submissions. There are several other similar and junk related questions that have been going for more than 10 years now.

I know this is Microsoft community where the community can ask questions and people with experience or knowledge can help. However, is there anybody out there that can tell us why Microsoft ignore the issues we have with (obvious) scams and junk mail? I was able to contact them directly via email a few years ago, however I just got standard computer "cut and paste" responses for a while (some contradicting information provided on their own website, some sending you to FAQ that does not have an answer to the question and some completely unrelated to my issue). Then it just stopped, never to be heard from again and the email link has been removed from their site.

Microsoft (many years ago) also replied to some issues on the community site, but they seem to have stopped that as well.

I get over a hundred junk emails dumped into my Junk mail every day for years. Please don't tell me that shows that the system is "working", that is nonsense and then if it's "working", who designed the **** system? it's a system that nobody wants ..... you can't report them and you can't block them And finally please don't tell me it is because I have been providing my email address to "suspicious sites" because I haven't. That's a line Microsoft uses hoping you will back off.

Anybody know what's going on?
