MacOS: Microsoft Word not displaying pasted Microsoft Excel Worksheet Objects

I'm running Word version 16.56 and Microsoft Excel Worksheet Objects is not displaying at all either in old .docx files which contained them or when I try to paste it into new files it simply beachballs. FWIW I am running Excel version 16.54.

Is this a known bug?

I chose the 'Current channel (preview)' box and then checked the update automatically boxes and it automatically updated to the 16.57 version of Word. That solved the problem with the embedded excel table.

    Hi gbrgh,

    For now, to report this issue, please send the feedback in Excel app (click the Help menu and choose Give Feedback). To workaround, downgrade to earlier version (16.55) till the issue is resolved, you can install V16.55 from the support article. Also, ensure to turn off auto update.

    There is no Help -> Give feedback in the menu of Word in MacOS...

    And this is the second Word edition that is truly maddening in errors

    The first one about 1 year ago could not copy-paste without the kernel crashing and now complete Excel objects are non-displayable and hidden.

    I think you guys have a serious quality control issue. If I could switch to a competitor then this current issue would push me towards that product but alas, in a corporate environment you have the customer by the .... and you guys are fully aware and keep messing up without real consequences.

    Nothing will be done about this and nothing will change as the person(s) reading this do not have the power to change the flaws and the persons who actually could change the flaws have no incentives to do so.

    Pure rubbish this.....

    EDIT: and I cannot turn off the update feature because policy settings prevent me from changing that. So I will keep getting the **** version of Word without remedy. This is a great day....
