OneNote Error E000006B blg57

Hi for the last 48 hours i have been getting this error in OneNote. i have the latest updates of software installed for both my mac and onenote on mac.

E000006B blg57

Any help would be very appreciated as its affecting my work, im a teacher and use this a digital workbook for my classes.

Just got this as part of my support case, looks like it should be OK now.

There was service degradation: OP283538

More info: Impact was specific to all versions of Microsoft OneNote excluding OneNote 2016 and web client. Windows 10 desktop client, iOS and Android mobile app versions were all impacted.

Final status: We've confirmed that a recent deployment intended to provide optimizations for service stability inadvertently introduced a regression in service logic, resulting in impact. We've reverted the affecting change and confirmed that impact is mitigated.

Start time: Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at 5:30 PM UTC

End time: Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at 7:00 PM UTC

Root cause: A recent deployment intended to provide optimizations for service stability inadvertently introduced a regression in service logic, resulting in impact.

The service is restored now.

That's a very interesting thing to say... myself and some of the staff here reported things were working again last night but again this morning it failed again. Trying to work with support to see if we can find anything on my end, hopefully something works.

Looks like i spoke too soon!

I'm now getting reports the issue is back.

It's interesting because last night in my testing around 8 pm, all of my onenotes worked without issue. I'm starting to think it's capacity issues and Microsoft can't meet the demand.

I'm going to email our Microsoft Education Rep and bring it to their attention.

this is still happening for me too. on my ios, android and windows devices. none will sync.

Hi All,

The issue should be resolved now. (in my testing it appears to be)

Here is what Microsoft Support had to say

Regarding the case, the issue was due to service interruption TM283251 which is already resolved. so please check and confirm if still issue is observed or not. Please find below details of the same. More info: Any cached data may have intermittently been affected, such as user presence and organization charts.
