16.0.13801.20182 is the problem - either upgrade to 16.0.13801.20288 or downgrade as I wrote below and have been working for 3 days without the error.

This has NOTHING to do with Windows updates.

This is caused by the "Office 16 Click-to-Run Licensing Component" and its latest update to version 16.0.13801.20182 or later.

Rolling back to version 16.0.13530.20528 (aka "Version 2012") will solve the problem.

See below I have been error free since the downgrade after 3/7/21

Hi Alex, it looks as if yesterday's updates did not clear this problem.

After the update KB5000802, I am now on 20H2 10.0.19042.867 (Settings>Home>About), but the kernelbase.dll is showing:

    Product version 10.0.19041.804

    Confusion reigns!

    Mike

You may want to check for Office updates. My Office 2019 machines are on build 16.0.13801.20288 and no longer have the Heartbeat error.

As i said Ryan, i am already running Office 2019 version .20288 and i can confirm problem is gone.

For the records, i am in the process of updating all of my PCs to the March 2021 Windows 19042.867 version and this had no effect on the Heartbeat error.
