| Hello Marilyn,

Thanks for contacting OneDrive support and we apologies for delay in response. Hope you are staying safe and healthy.

I want to inform you that the OneDrive iOS team has been investigating feedback of lost writes made from the iOS Files App. I completely understand your concern that it is taking time to fix it however we’re actively working on improving our Files App experience and have temporarily set it in read only mode and this is the reason files are showing as read only.

I regret for the inconvenience caused. I am afraid currently there is no ETA however the issue is already raised on high priority and will be fixed soon. Once the fix has been released, rollout will start with a new version of OneDrive app. Please keep checking the OneDrive app updates.

Meanwhile you can use OneDrive website i.e. onedrive.live.com in InPrivate browser or on a desktop browser to edit/upload files.

Thanks for your understanding.

Thanks

Panam P.

OneDrive Team

My Reply Back:

Thank you for the follow-up. I am glad to hear that the issue has been given high-priority by Microsoft. However the work-around that you suggest of using the OneDrive website i.e.onedrive.live.comin InPrivate browser or on a desktop browser to edit/upload files is not a viable substitute when working “on the road” using an iPhone or iPad. Thus the main reason that I use OneDrive continues to leave me “non-functional”. |
