Unfortunately this not available when performing some tasks such as trying to export notes to PDF format to OneDrive.
It only gives you the option to save and the save box is still grayed out.

Onedrive folders and Save button are grayed out on my iphone when I have tried to "Save to Files" through the Files App. The folders for some reason are showing as read only in the App as well which is quite weird.
However other cloud services such as google drive, dropbox save to iphone and the Save button are not grayed out and completely available to save too.
This was working previously but all of a sudden has stopped for no reason. I am site administrator on this account having full permissions from a microsoft end and have checked the settings in the iphone to allow access to all photos. I have not changed any settings either or read only.

I think i figured it out. Check out my response and screen capture a couple of comments down.
I’m still having the same issue (on March 30th, 2021)
I am not having this issue anywhere else, just One Drive.
My One Drive version is 12.19.5 and iPad 14.4.
I just checked again and before doing so I reset One Drive and signed on again. After signing on, when using the Files App, One Drive is still Read Only. From Excel or Word, I can edit and save the files successfully. When I am using One Drive I can move files successfully.
I have included a snapshot from the Files App and from the HP Smart App after reset and One Drive is still Read Only. I have no issues creating folders or saving files on my iCloud Drive, My Cloud, my IPad, and Google Drive.
Hi vee & George,
Thanks for your effort to share the same experience here, we did the test again both in iPhone 12.19.5 and iPad 12.19.11, while we can save it normally, to continue troubleshoot it, since you said you have updated it, could you please tell us your current OneDrive version?
Meanwhile, we suggest you go to Settings> find OneDrive> enable Clear Account Settings under RESET and sign in your account again to test it.
Besides, may I know whether other accounts also encounter the same problem? Could you please capture some screenshots about “choose Save To Files, the Save button and a few folders are grayed out” with us?
We highly appreciate your effort to share the above information with us, and we will try our best to help you figure out.😊
Best regards,
Gloria
