Microsoft powerpoint on Ipad Air keeps crashing

Hello,

For the past week and a half, the microsoft powerpoint app on the ipad continuously has been crashing whenever I try to use it. Prior to this, it worked just fine but the problems started recently. It sometimes crashes when i try to open a powerpoint, and sometimes crashes mid note taking after working for several minutes. I use this app for class and I have an exam coming up, and it has been very frustrating trying to take notes when my latest notes keep disappearing every time it crashes. Is there any way this can be fixed?

I have looked at other people who have had the same issues. I have tried restarting the app, uninstalling and reinstalling, updating. None of it has worked so far. In terms of file sizes even presentations that worked perfectly before are crashing now. I cannot recall if there was an app update in the past week or so, but other than that there have been no changes to the ipad or powerpoint. My ios is up to date and so is the app.

    Mine too continues to crash. It helped for like 10-20 minutes but it still crashes.

    Hi Louie

    I followed the above instructions and sadly PowerPoint continues to crash after 20 seconds or so. I have an Office 365 account. Using iPad Pro and IOS 14.6.

    A solution soon would be helpful 2 weeks of not being able to use this as a trainer is not great!

To check on this further, we’ve raised this to our Internal Support so they can also investigate what may have happened and may be causing the app to crash. For now, we’ll just need to wait for their recommendation, and we’ll update you once we got their response.

    Thanks for letting us know about this. We acknowledge that you’re also having the same issue with the PowerPoint app on your iPad Pro and confirming that you got the same behavior on your iPhone device.

    Just to confirm, have you also tried reinstalling the application? Are you using PowerPoint with a Microsoft 365 Family subscription?
