Hello,

For the past week and a half, the microsoft powerpoint app on the ipad continuously has been crashing whenever I try to use it. Prior to this, it worked just fine but the problems started recently. It sometimes crashes when i try to open a powerpoint, and sometimes crashes mid note taking after working for several minutes. I use this app for class and I have an exam coming up, and it has been very frustrating trying to take notes when my latest notes keep disappearing every time it crashes. Is there any way this can be fixed?

I have looked at other people who have had the same issues. I have tried restarting the app, uninstalling and reinstalling, updating. None of it has worked so far. In terms of file sizes even presentations that worked perfectly before are crashing now. I cannot recall if there was an app update in the past week or so, but other than that there have been no changes to the ipad or powerpoint. My ios is up to date and so is the app.

I've been facing the same issue for weeks now. It is extremely frustrating, as I bought the iPad this summer to take notes through PowerPoint for my online summer classes. I don't understand how there is still no solution from the @microsoft team. Anyone have any temporary solutions that have worked for them?

I just upload my documents to google drive and take my notes online instead. Though it sometimes still crashes (documents close by itself) when I try to use the apple pencil? Somehow....

I've been saving the PowerPoint as PDFs and writing on them that way. Using Keynote gets extremely frustrating as the fonts aren't all available and when you convert it all the formatting is changed.

@microsoftsupport any idea of how to fix this issue? It's concerning the lack of response we've gotten on this issue when it's affecting thousands of people.

I have 2 iPad Pros. The 1st Gen with iOS 14.7.1 and PowerPoint 2.52 crashes all the time! The 2nd Gen with 14.4.2 and 2.51 works without issue. Both are using the same 1st Gen pencil. Both are using .ppt files loaded with hand written materials.

This is a HUGE issue that needs resolution. The school year has just begun and all of my work is completed through the iPad. The second (working iPad) is a loaner that I need to return to the owner.

    Help!!!!!

ps I have done all of the “stuff” that has been recommended
