Hello,

For the past week and a half, the microsoft powerpoint app on the ipad continuously has been crashing whenever I try to use it. Prior to this, it worked just fine but the problems started recently. It sometimes crashes when i try to open a powerpoint, and sometimes crashes mid note taking after working for several minutes. I use this app for class and I have an exam coming up, and it has been very frustrating trying to take notes when my latest notes keep disappearing every time it crashes. Is there any way this can be fixed?

I have looked at other people who have had the same issues. I have tried restarting the app, uninstalling and reinstalling, updating. None of it has worked so far. In terms of file sizes even presentations that worked perfectly before are crashing now. I cannot recall if there was an app update in the past week or so, but other than that there have been no changes to the ipad or powerpoint. My ios is up to date and so is the app.

I’ve been using the Office Docs Suite on my iPad for almost 2 months without issue. It’s an extra $30, but well worth it at this point. Surely Microsoft will make it right at some point.

    Hello,

I have the same problem on my iPad Air running iPadOS 15.0.2 and Office version 2.54. I am using an PowerPoint app with university subscription to office 365. I use PowerPoint on my MacBook and it works fine.

Hi, I have been having all the same problems for months. Microsoft, please I am begging you to fix this issue. My class lectures can only be open properly on PowerPoint, so I am forced to use it to take notes on the slides. My iPad is great, but it feels absolutely frustrating that I can't even look at the slides or write notes since it crashes after 10-30 sec.

    Please please just fix it.

    Two small additions:

    1. This (using handwritten notes on a Powerpoint document using Apple Pencil on an iPad) has worked for more then a year...
    2. All these people experiencing the problems are assisting reliably in paying Microsoft employees monthly salaries

So; please can we have an estimate as to when this will get solved?

    Regards,

    E

    Hello Microsoft,

Knock knock its us, the world... You would think after 11 pages of people wondering whats going on that you might take a look into this.

I think people are right.. the application either freezes or doesnt load all of the slides when there is handwritten notes on the powerpoint.

Please, Tesla is building rockets that land back on the ground and has cars that drive themselves... I think you, Microsoft should be able to look into a Powerpoint issue with handwritten notes and figure out a solution...................................................................................................................................s

I know theres an exponential ammount of people having the same issue that dont post on this platform.. so when theres 11 pages of comments you can jsut imagine how many professionals deal with this on a daily basis. What I have to do it so close and open ppt X amount of times until I get lucky and the presentation loads fine. My situation is pretty mild, compared to some of these other situations, but nevertheless is extremely annoying. I can only imagine how 1000's of customers/subscribers feel

    Please look into this

    thank you,

    We, ipad ppt users
