Microsoft powerpoint on Ipad Air keeps crashing

Hello,

For the past week and a half, the microsoft powerpoint app on the ipad continuously has been crashing whenever I try to use it. Prior to this, it worked just fine but the problems started recently. It sometimes crashes when i try to open a powerpoint, and sometimes crashes mid note taking after working for several minutes. I use this app for class and I have an exam coming up, and it has been very frustrating trying to take notes when my latest notes keep disappearing every time it crashes. Is there any way this can be fixed?

I have looked at other people who have had the same issues. I have tried restarting the app, uninstalling and reinstalling, updating. None of it has worked so far. In terms of file sizes even presentations that worked perfectly before are crashing now. I cannot recall if there was an app update in the past week or so, but other than that there have been no changes to the ipad or powerpoint. My ios is up to date and so is the app.

    Hi Louie,

    I have a Microsoft 365 subscription through my school and I am experiencing the same issue when I use the PowerPoint app on my 4th gen iPad Air. I am using PowerPoint 2.52 and my iPad is up to date on software 14.7.1. I notice that when I annotate on PowerPoint slides on my iPad it causes the app to crash. Do you have any updates on this issue? Uninstalling, reinstalling, and restarting the iPad does not solve the issue. This has been happening for about two weeks now.

    I've also been with this problem for more than a week! It's so frustrating. Last month, this happens for a few days, and I kept on deleting, reinstalling and even reboot my ipad, and the app suddenly went back to normal after a few days. However, since last Wednesday, PowerPoint app in my ipad started to force exit AGAIN. I've tried everything and the problem is still there. Is there anything Microsoft can help with? I have exams coming up, and this is definitely pulling down my grades.

    Hi, I am having the same issue with PowerPoint and Microsoft. It is very frustrating trying to attend lectures with my app crashing as soon as I try taking notes. I attempted the steps recommended and it immediately occurred after logging in. It ends up affecting my entire screen after too much playing around. I just bought my iPad Air about two weeks ago. When are we going to see answers? It would greatly be appreciated so I can actually focus on my studies and not regrets in the financial decision of my iPad.

    It would be nice to see a reaction from Microsoft because this is not really how one would like to get support after paying 7 years of subscription fees!

    I have the same problem. It’s so disgusting that at the middle of the presentation, the app is continuously crashing.
