Delete Microsoft Planner Labels

I created a new plan and it came with the Default 6 color Labels for tasks. I do not need that many. How do I delete the unwanted colors/options? I can only find information on editing labels or how to add them to a task.

My 2 cents worth on a nice work around is to use SP lists with "Board View" and you can pretty much customise your experience (even adding in branching input logic, powerapp form, customised permissions etc....). I tried to add my voice to this bid but the link is broken or the page doesn't exist anymore. I am currently trying to convert some staff to use MS Planner instead of Trello but they hate having to scroll through so many labels - mine is showing 25!

Need the ability to remove labels after you've added them and they're no longer in use.

This issue is created on January 14, 2021. Today (31-01-23) this issue has 10391 views and 54 replies.

Once again this seemingly simple problem goes unsolved and once again this really sucks! :-(
