I created a new plan and it came with the Default 6 color Labels for tasks. I do not need that many. How do I delete the unwanted colors/options? I can only find information on editing labels or how to add them to a task.

Deletion of labels feature needs to be added. I run several plans across our enterprise and having them all show on all plans is frustrating and annoying. Many plans only require 3-4 labels. Sorting through 22 to find 3-4 is unnecessary time consumption. Frustrating for users like me.
How unbelievable frustrating to search for instructions how to remove labels and see so many people asking the same thing and absolutely no response from anyone who can fix this! The colours I'm using on the labels match most closely to colours used on various other spreadsheets etc and so I'm having to group by label and flick the furthest across the screen to find what I need. If we are able to rename, edit and delete labels in outlook, why not on planner? Really disappointing on an otherwise really useful app.

Having a fixed number of labels may have worked for 6, but 25 labels makes it a mess. "Group by" is ridiculously wide, and the list of labels is also just unnecessarily long. There needs to be an option to manage them other than "rename".
Agreed. We have numerous staff that are using Planner, however are reluctant to group by label because there are default colors that are not being used. Please please please give the ability to remove these unused labels so that it makes the grouping by labels function usable.
Please Microsoft, add the possibility to enable/disable each label color.
