Delete Microsoft Planner Labels

I created a new plan and it came with the Default 6 color Labels for tasks. I do not need that many. How do I delete the unwanted colors/options? I can only find information on editing labels or how to add them to a task.

    Add me to the list of disgruntled O365 users (and similar to others trying to convince my team to move from Trello)...I can't imagine why Microsoft with tens of thousands of developers at their command, can't make a quick UX fix to make the labels totally configurable (including adding and subtracting them from the list).

    I see some changes now, but unused labels haven't exactly disappeared. What I noticed:

    • Unused ones that still have the default names are now at the bottom of the list when picking labels.
    • Group by labels will no longer show empty columns for unused labels with default names.

    So, much improved. 👍🏻

    This finally seems to have been sorted!!! I've only got my in-use labels showing!! Thank you Microsoft this is now, albeit eventually, working as expected :D

    Yes, please add this functionality. To delete and/or sort the labels. The colors at the top don't have enough contrast to use, so you select the best colors throughout the list and it makes it hard to find when you want to use the filter feature.
