External Data Refresh Failed

Just adding on here.  I started having this EXACT problem two days ago. 

Very interesting that some folks started getting this error message last December, and now many of us are getting the problem here in February.  I used Microsoft's automated uninstaller to completely remove Microsoft 365 from my laptop, then reinstalled it.  However, this had no effect, and I am still getting the error message every time I click refresh.  I've been using my stock spreadsheet for over a year now with no issues until now.  My spreadsheet is very small with only ten different stocks, and they are all updating correctly even though I am getting this ridiculous error message saying they couldn't refresh all my data.

It's so frustrating that Microsoft appears unwilling or unable to do anything to fix the problem.

Ok, that didn't take long at all.  I deleted every stock data cell in my spreadsheet that was giving the error every time I clicked Refresh.  Then I re-added the symbols and made them "stock data" again.  Problem solved!  My spreadsheet is now updating without throwing that annoying error message that so many others have reported on here.  I don't understand why this works, but it worked for me.

I now have the EXACT same problem: i had no problem refreshing stock data for months in excel 365, and then all of a sudden, as of a few days ago, every time i click refresh i get that same error message:

"we refreshed some of your data but we couldn't refresh all of it because we changed or removed it on our side...."

NB: I use stock data in many excel documents, but only one of those documents (a very large one) gives me that error when I click refresh.  my smaller documents do not give me that error.  I wish there were a way for me to search the large document to find which fields are not refreshing, so that I can delete them, so that I can avoid getting that error. Anyone know a way to find the fields that are not refreshing?

I started getting this error today as well. I have submitted a support ticket to look into the issue through Office Admin support channel.

The data is being pulled from the "Stocks" refresh in excel.  It is being shared with other worksheets in the same Excel spreadsheet.

I have found that intermittently, say 1 out of every 10 times I attempt to "refreshes all connections" it works fine.

Unfortunatly, I can not get the error message to snip to send to you.
