Can’t login to Facebook because Authenticator app didn’t backup and save credentials

My FB account was hacked and I set up the 2 Factor authentication with the Google Authenticator app. FB gave me some recovery codes to use in case I wasn't able to get the codes, I happily took a screenshot thinking that was a perfect back up. I received an alert that my email and phone number had been changed on FB, I immediately went and regained access via email to my account. But because I got a new phone after setting it up and oblivious that the data didn't transfer over. I am unable to log into my FB account. I have tried sending my ID in and they tell me that it doesn't match the info on file. I can no longer find my account when searching from family and friends accounts. But I keep getting the email notifications about all the things being posted on my timeline! I still have access to my Instagram account that was set up via my FB app. I can't get any help nor get a customer service person to email or speak to that will help me. It's been over a year and I still can't get back into the one and only FB account I've ever had with tons of memories and photos.

I have microsoft authentication app to get code to log into facebook. I got new iphone and wiped old phone and no longer have access to facebook credentials to generate code to log into facebook. How can I get qr code to set up authenticator on new phone or turn off two factor authentication on facebook if i can't log in to do so? Very frustrating...

I was able to restore settings in authenticator and get facebook code

Today I was actually able to confirm my identity and I can now access my account again. I do not know what worked, I can only say that I made videos that I emailed repeatedly to security at Facebookmail dot com I also reported a problem repeatedly (including the videos) using a temporary profile and I tried every day to access my account. Today it just worked! Keep trying and good luck!
