Can’t login to Facebook because Authenticator app didn’t backup and save credentials

I got a new phone and cant login to Facebook now. The authenticator app didnt backup and save my Facebook credentials and now I cant get the 2 factor authentication code required. How can I recover this info?

    Can you share the link and any information as to this process? Nothing in the Facebook "Help" provides anything that actually works. Thanks,

    I have been working to recover a clients Facebook account for over a month now and can't get any ID's sent to Facebook as their service looks be be overwhelmed or just not responding.

    Hi all,

    Thanks for sharing your experiences with this issue.

    I manage FB ad accounts and losing access to my account will be very costly to me and my clients. I also find value in my personal photos and correspondence.

    I did not setup 2fa so I did not have an authenticator setup for FB.

    I am able to reset my password via email and SMS.

    I do not see the same options as others when prompted for 6 digit code. I only see "How to check code generator" and "Approve from another device".

    I have been contacting any Facebook contact I can find and they only recommend the same solutions that are either outdated, non-functional or both.

    I'll be following closely here, thanks again!
