Can’t login to Facebook because Authenticator app didn’t backup and save credentials

I got a new phone and cant login to Facebook now. The authenticator app didnt backup and save my Facebook credentials and now I cant get the 2 factor authentication code required. How can I recover this info?

    So you do have access to your account but still can't get rid of your authenticator verification?
    My problem is, even though they grant me access through my ID, I still can't access my FB Business Accounts/FB ads accounts etc... so i really need my old security key back/get rid of the authenticator app :(

    I was never able to shut it off. I was able to send my ID and a message to facebook to verify it was in fact me the account owner. It took MULTIPLE attempts but finally worked after a few intermittent attempts of sending it.

    Hi! I'm in the same situation since August 2022, I only have access now through FB mobile in the browser (not app)
    I can't go to my settings, how were you able to turn off the two factor authentication?

    I am having the same problem, I can not get the second code. I have tried several things from utube. Nothing works. I do not remember checking to get the Two-Factor Authentication. When accessing my account it just popped up you need an authentication code. So if anyone has an answer, please share

    You may try to ask Facebook for help when log in your a/c , then click need another way to authenticate. then, you will be asked to upload ID.

    The problem is, Facebook has no very limited service for non business account like us.. Facebook never came back and help me for log in issue since this June with my more than 10 times uploads with no return at all.

    Hate to say, get away from Facebook, as you will not get any help when needed. Just down load all the pictures from friends a/c and go or open another free a/c.
