I got a new phone and cant login to Facebook now. The authenticator app didnt backup and save my Facebook credentials and now I cant get the 2 factor authentication code required. How can I recover this info?

How did you finally do it? Ive been hacked,, they changed my info and made it so I need an authentication code.. I've sent my ID twice now.

i Have the same situation,
i have two-factors method enabled, I lost access to my account then I got it back by submitting ID Papers, now i have access to my account again on mobile and desktop but i can't turn two-factors off because it asks me for a code generated from auth app.
when i generate a code from mobile app it doesn't work on my business settings.
I'm down for that. Since August I can't do my job and in February my contract will not be extended because I can't do my job!!!
Why can't we have a class action Law suit on both facebook and Microsoft of providing a solution that results in loss of access to their social media account?
When you upgrade your iphone, if you don't backup the authenticator to icloud you will not be able to recover it and you will lose access to social media accounts that you have stupidly assigned authenticator as an authentication mechanism.
Facebook ID verification is almost impossible don't know what AI they are working and what they will do with Metaverse.
