Can’t login to Facebook because Authenticator app didn’t backup and save credentials

I got a new phone and cant login to Facebook now. The authenticator app didnt backup and save my Facebook credentials and now I cant get the 2 factor authentication code required. How can I recover this info?

    That's so odd (but I am happy for you haha) Because when I have access back to my profile, and head to the settings in FB to remove the authenticator app it asks me for an authenticator code first .. and then I'm stuck again

    Did you remove this through FB desktop or app? (laptop/mobile) maybe your details can help me!

    Once I was fully back into my account yes I was able to remove the authenticator

    So you do have access to your account but still can't get rid of your authenticator verification?
    My problem is, even though they grant me access through my ID, I still can't access my FB Business Accounts/FB ads accounts etc... so i really need my old security key back/get rid of the authenticator app :(

    I was never able to shut it off. I was able to send my ID and a message to facebook to verify it was in fact me the account owner. It took MULTIPLE attempts but finally worked after a few intermittent attempts of sending it.

    Hi! I'm in the same situation since August 2022, I only have access now through FB mobile in the browser (not app)
    I can't go to my settings, how were you able to turn off the two factor authentication?
