High CPU Usage on macOS Catalina.... This is very annoying!

Hey guys,

I've been feeling very frustrated about OneDrive:

Ever since I've switched to Catalina on my MBP 15", OneDrive keeps spinning up a bunch of processes called "OneDrive Finder Integration", about 5-6 of them and then Finder goes over 130% along with another system-level process. Needless to say, this kicks up the fans to the full speed and, if running on battery, chews up through so much of the battery. The only other way around this is to pause the app which defeats the whole point of having a "cloud" backup. I've looked around, run a bunch of scripts suggested, uninstalled, reset and then reinstalled the app with no success. Can someone help me with this?

BTW, why can't I check my Preferences (where the version number is accessible) when OneDrive is paused?!!! this is just poor planning as far as I'm concerned!

    I'm actively working with Microsoft on this.  Make sure you're running 29.084.0426.0006 (which is still exhibiting the issue).  That way we can confirm that the issue persists in the latest version.  

    If you want to chat about it go to this Discord site: https://discord.gg/R7kD52p.  We can then PM each other so we can gather more information for Microsoft.  Just an idea, no need to discuss the use of Discord here.  Ignore this if you don't want to.. Let's just focus on the issue.

    MICROSOFT when will YOU FIX this!!!???

    microsoft support does not even bother to answer support requests anymore...our best bet is to move to some other service

    still not fixed:

    CPUs running at maximum speed all day long. I have to periodically shut off one drive to cool down my laptop... how is it possible that a major problem like this doesn't get fixed?

    No, it is not fixed yet. I was running the beta version of macOS and now on production release.  Also, running latest OneDrive for Mac.

    macOS 10.15.5 (19F96)

    OneDrive 20.084.0426.0006 (Standalone)
