Dear Customers,

Since we have been receiving great amount of issue report from those customers purchasing Microsoft 365 services from unauthorized channel, we would like to write a summary here so that all affected members can easily identify the problem and get the suggestions:

Problem background:

When Microsoft determines that you are using an unauthorized Microsoft 365 account, they will run fraud identification processes.

Users identified as fraudulent may:

  1. See a banner indicating that “Account deactivation. We’ve determined that this Office 365 account is unauthorized. This account will be closed on <Date UTC>, and you’ll lose access to your files and Office apps on this date”.
  2. have their content marked read-only and will not be able to create or edit content on their sites. Any synced content will also be marked read-only from the date of fraud identification.
  3. Users will lose access to any content (e.g., files, data or documents) stored in OneDrive, at the time specified in the notification you received. After the time specified, any content stored in the OneDrive associated with this account will be permanently deleted for data security reasons and your protection.

Suggestions:

Prior to the account deactivation, you have the option to do the following:

  1. Save your data: Prior to account deactivation date, move the content you don’t want permanently deleted to:
  2. A new or existing authorized OneDrive account
  3. Any other physical storage device you choose
  4. Another cloud storage provider

For impact users that accounts have been deactivated, we have limited resource to deliver more help. If you still have concern, we would like to suggest you:

  1. Contact your tenant admin to create a support ticket if they challenge the state of their fraudulent license.
  2. If you can't contact your tenant admin, contact Global Customer Service.

Reference:

We sincerely recommend you purchasing Microsoft services from authorized channel to avoid security risk.

Regards,

Rena

Well, the answer that I share with you is the same one that they have given me 3 times.

And as it reads, they are not going to lift a finger about our problem.

It`s a strange answer, because like people here said, it was Microsoft who had blocked accounts, so admins have no way to unblock them.

We have to go through a legal means, Microsoft is not going to move our finger because of our problem. I had contact on Twitter since I used a hashtag and they contacted me immediately but without satisfactory results.

Let's use the #OneDriveRertunMyFiles to unify the claim and make it viral. Someone will listen to us or we can get something

Hello everyone, we have to go the legal way, since Microsoft is not going to proceed for us in this problem; I share the answer they gave me when opening a case for the 3rd time:

As I mentioned on the call, I was reviewing if there were solution options that could be applied on our part, either from the area for home users or from the area of business users.

From the point where you are, the only one who could grant your account permissions to access the files stored there and who could download them, is effectively the account administrator. Microsoft cannot access the contents of the accounts or grant or remove permissions from a business account like the one that was sold to your daughter at the time. Even if Microsoft had tools to do this, it would be violating established laws on protection of personal or private information and confidentiality; therefore, it is only the account administrator who has that autonomy.

In your case, the solution option is as limited as contacting the seller in Mercado Libre, explaining the situation and asking him to allow you to access his files, even temporarily, in order to download the information stored there and will be at your disposal. discretion of said administrator to do so or not.

I understand that this must be very frustrating and that is why I wanted to go a little further to look for possible alternatives, but the only solution in this case is for the administrator of those accounts to allow you to get permission to your information again, since no one else can do what.

This is the information I had to share with you and I would only like to make a recommendation to take into account in the future and that is quite obvious; purchase Microsoft products or services through our website: Microsoft Store or authorized resellers in your country. In the event of any inconvenience, you will at least have official customer service channels that you can turn to for help.

I will proceed to file your case.
