TEAMS on MAC launching fullscreen

How do I stop TEAMS from launch into full screen? It just started doing this.

    Interestingly there have been a few releases with seemingly unimportant UI changes since this was reported, and yet this major bug has still not been fixed. Wonder if the Teams devs use Slack instead??

    Same issue here for me as well. Super annoying. It's the only app that's acting up this way. 2019 MBP 16" with Big Sur. Happens on internal screen as well as external 27" 4k via USB-C.

    I'm also on a intel MacBook.

    I have updated Teams to the version 1.4.00.573 on the 13/01/2021 and it seems to have disapeared.

    Let's see . . . 

    About an hour ago I downloaded Teams_osx.pkg from https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/microsoft-teams/download-app.

    It is Version 1.4.00.4971 with md5sum:

    66a54ffb68ad394a6e2a06d3f33172d3 Teams_osx.pkg

    And it has the same issue of zooming to full size after restoring.

    Same here too. MS Teams  1.3.00.33671 on a MBP running Mojave 10.14.6. I have a 34" 3440 x 1440 display, which is an obnoxious thing to launch full-screen into. 

    In my case: if I open the app from the task bar, it opens at a sane size, but if I click on a notification, that's when it opens maximized.
