Microsoft Teams JavaScript error occured in the main process error

I downloaded Microsoft Teams,then ı tried to setup but ı got this error on the first setup screen(on small white rectangle screen),then ı checked forums,

>I delete all files about Teams on the appdata,Local etc.

>I delete teams files on the regedit

>I stop running antivirus then ı tried one more time

>I always tried install last version of Teams

How can ı solve this problem??

    Hey,

    I got the same issue but was able to fix it this morning.

    The error occured the moment I deleted some folders, so that I guessed it had something to do with it.

    In my case i deleted the folder "Own documents" as standardfolder so that the error occured.

    I solved the problem with the following steps (I got Windows 7):

    1. Windows --> Computer

    2. In the left you will see the folders -> in german the needed folder was "Bibliotheken" in english it might be "libraries" --> right click on it

    3. Click on "Restore standard libraries"

    That should restore the deleted folder, so that e.g. Teams can find it again.

    The error didn't occure for me since then.

    Hi,

    I have managed to resolved the Java error on several occasions by repairing a number of Microsoft Visual C++ entries in Control Panel and MS teams app re-installation . Note that couple of re-starts may be required following the repair

    Where do I find the Microsoft VC++ runtime libraries? I can't seem to find them in the programs and features.

    But the repair option should fix it. Once repaired, restart the machine.

    I fixed my issue, like some of your posts was not connected certain folders on my network and it seems that Teams need the download folder available.

    Once I moved the Downloads' folder to my computers drive teams open without a problem.
