Click-to-Run High CPU Usage

Recently I noticed that there was a background application constantly running on my PC called 'click-to-run'. It runs from the moment I switch on the PC and it never stops and even if I stop the task, it will simply start again. It uses around 25% CPU load and when opening an Office app, like Word, that app uses another 25%. I am using Office 365 which I downloaded through the Education bundle which they offer. Is there a fix for this high CPU load please?

    Hello Hugo,

    i tried yesterday a complete online repair, Office was completely uninistall, i did the same thing with my separate Ms Visio 2019 and also Onedrive. no more Ms office application on my laptop

    And i did a complete installation of each (Office 365 for entreprise directly from my admin webpage, Visio 2019 from Ms website and onedrive was installed through Office 365 installation) and i have still the same issue. Moreover after the installation i force the update for office and for Windows (10). but i still have the issue.

    1. Regarding your first point, i closed all Ms applications and Microsoft Office Click to Run is till running with 25% of CPU USAGE

    Moreover, if i launched Excel for excel, Excel took directly around 15% - 25% of CPU as explained before. Very annoying.

    1. i confirme that i did yesterday through Wifi connection Online repair as esplained just at the beggining of my email.

    I did tried a clean boot, i will try in the next hours

    Regards,

    Hello Daniel !

    Bingo ! you spot the issue !! After reading your comments, i tried to switch off my internal broadband connection (4G) and swith to my poor Wifi connection in my house and......

    No more Click to run high CPU or Office application with high average CPU !

    So since the last update in office the issue is with "limited connexion" like 4G internal connection (Broadband card)

    @Microsoft : Can you please investigate ?

    Regards,

    Ludovic
