Cannot enable OneDrive 'Camera Upload'

Hello,

I want to free up space on my Samsung Galaxy Note 10+.

When I try to enable 'Free up space on the device' in the OneDrive app, I get the message:

'Camera upload must be enabled ...'

The problem is that there is no camera upload setting anymore.

Or am I missing something here ...?

I use the latest version of Android and version 6.1.1 of OneDrive.

Thanks!

This seems to have started after Samsung switched their online storage to OneDrive.  If you go to the settings in the Gallery app, you will notice that "Sync with OneDrive" is enabled.  It however doesn't seem to work. I have an S9 and the switch happened sometime in May.  My photos haven't been synced since.  This article suggests some troubleshooting steps but I still can't get photos and videos in my gallery to sync using the Gallery app.  https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/samsung-gallery-and-onedrive-99c4e77b-8e63-4ddc-aede-19f81acee1a3

Unfortunately, you cannot simply disable Gallery syncing by toggling the setting.  You must disconnect your Samsung account from OneDrive using the steps in the above article.  After disconnecting, go back into the OneDrive app and re-enable Camera upload.

This worked like a charm once I disconnected the Samsung account from OneDrive. The "Camera Upload" option reappeared in settings. Didn't even have to restart the phone. THANK YOU!

To disconnect your Samsung Gallery from OneDrive

If you want to stop the Samsung Gallery app syncing photos to OneDrive and remove the Samsung data sharing permissions to your Microsoft Account, you'll need to edit how you sign-in to Microsoft:

    1) Open your Microsoft Account's Additional security options.

    2) Next to Samsung account, select Remove.

    3) On your mobile device, go to Settings > Accounts.

    4) Scroll down and select your Samsung account.

    5) Tap Apps and services then Connected services.

    6) Remove your Microsoft account from the list of Linked accounts.

This WORKED!!!  Finally someone who could fix it after 3 hours on the phone with Tmobile, Samsung, and an hour at a local repair place.  I really hope they figure the OneDrive syncing with Samsung Gallery issues.  So far it has NOT been helpful or intuitive at all.   Thanks again!!

    Dear Humbledoore,
Thanks for participating in the Microsoft Community. I'm an Independent Advisor and I'll help you.

In order to activate that feature, try this:
In the OneDrive app, tap the Me icon in OneDrive app for iOS at the bottom of the app, then tap Settings, next Camera upload and Set Camera upload to On.

"Important: Camera Upload can only be used on one account at a time. If you are also a OneDrive for Business user, select the appropriate Camera upload account." Normally this feature only works with personal accounts, doesn't works with School or business accounts.

See more information in below link:

Do not hesitate to ask if you need more information.
I hope it has been useful to you.
    Regards,
    Renzo.

This doesn't work...I have allowed my camera...and followed your steps and this doesn't work for me either.....but yet I've paid to have 1tb account.....
