Cannot enable OneDrive 'Camera Upload'

Hello,

I want to free up space on my Samsung Galaxy Note 10+.

When I try to enable 'Free up space on the device' in the OneDrive app, I get the message:

'Camera upload must be enabled ...'

The problem is that there is no camera upload setting anymore.

Or am I missing something here ...?

I use the latest version of Android and version 6.1.1 of OneDrive.

Thanks!

After a long time, I found a quick solution.

I deleted my Samsung account. Then I restarted. Now OneDrive works perfectly.

I had tried everything else. Reset the apps by deleting data and cash. Uninstall and reinstall apps. Remove the connection of Samsung to the Microsoft account. Remove permissions of Samsung Gallery. Enable permissions of OneDrive. Restart the phone multiple times. Samsung Gallery kept screwing OneDrive. Nothing worked. I did not uninstall the Office apps, but problem solved.

    Deleted from where exactly?

    From their website.

I had created the account when I set up my smartphone. With the same credentials I logged in the online Samsung account through my laptop and deleted it from account settings or so.

Thanks to who started this discussion because topic is really frustrating and after connecting OneDrive with Samsung Account, the Camera sync stopped working for me as well.

But it's a story with lucky ending 🙂

Here are steps what worked for me:

    1. Go and log in here: https://account.samsung.com/membership/contents/services/services-gate
    2. At the bottom you will see "Connected Services". One of those will be "Microsoft Account" - go click on it and choose "Unlink"
    3. Done
    4. Go to One Drive settings in phone app to re-enable the "Camera upload"

Not sure if any of the replies to this cover this. I have had the same.issue and just solved it by doing the following.

    Go into Settings.

    Accounts and Backup

    Accounts

Select the Samsung Account - blue square with rounded.off corners with a circle innit within which there.is a stylised image of a person

    Select Apps and Services

    Connected Services

If it shows Microsoft account, press the 'Unlink' button.

    This worked for me.

Hope it works for you too.
