Hello,
I want to free up space on my Samsung Galaxy Note 10+.
When I try to enable 'Free up space on the device' in the OneDrive app, I get the message:
'Camera upload must be enabled ...'
The problem is that there is no camera upload setting anymore.
Or am I missing something here ...?
I use the latest version of Android and version 6.1.1 of OneDrive.
Thanks!

The same with me. It appears that Microsoft and Samsung reached an app development where we are now forced to use a dead item (Samsung Cloud) in order to upload our photos to Onedrive. This means that Samsung will now have a peep at our photos before we upload them to Onedrive. Before we would do that directly via camera upload which is now gone. That is another corporate underhand where users were totally overlooked. Moreover you cannot uninstall onedrive anymore from your Samsung, you cannot even logout. Shocking!
Who was the "brilliant" mind behind this?
I tried the one... removed sync from gallery, deleted samsung permissions from my Microsoft account, rebooted phone... still no joy.
I still have the "Gallery sync " option in my OneDrive.
I still have "Clean up your space on your device" option with the alert that camera upload needs to be enabled on Onedrive and...
There's no camera upload option at all.
I feel hijacked on this issue
I found the solution.
Your Samsung account gets linked on the background when you foolishly accept to have gallery synced to Onedrive.
It does not make a difference to go to your Microsoft account and remove the Samsung credentials. Your phone will still be linked and the gallery sync will still show instead of camera upload.
You have to
When you open Onedrive again "camera upload" will show... at last!!!
Your gallery settings will also not mention any Onedrive at all only "cloud sync". A few hours of my life I will never get back ☹
I had the same issue after linking Samsung cloud account. I found a solution, however. Simply went to Settings, Accounts & Backup, Accounts. Then I selected my OneDrive account and turned Sync Accounts back on.
Now I can clear space in my phone again!l, hooray.
