Cannot enable OneDrive 'Camera Upload'

Go to onedrive webpage and under additional security options just remove your Samsung account/unlink it and camera upload should pop up back in the app OD settings.  Hope this helps

Something samsung and Microsoft need to talk about cos it just wont link amd keep the features.... Hell when you linked on both you cant evem sign out on OD because its usimg samsung account as a log in🤔🤷‍♂️👌

I've had the same problem. OneDrive has stooped syncing my photos and my "Camera upload" option disappeared from OneDrive.. In my case it happened after I had linked my Samsung account with my Microsoft account. I have fixed the problem by removing Microsoft account from Samsung account. This is how I did it (Samsung S9 / Android10):

1. Go to phone "Settings" --> "Accounts and backup" --> "Samsung Cloud" --> (go to the 3 little vertical dots in the right top corner) and choose "Settings" --> "Samsung account" --> "Apps and services" --> "Connected services" and remove the Microsoft account that you use for syncing your OneDrive (in my case I only had one Microsoft account in the list there)
2. After removing Microsoft account from Samsung's "Connected services" list (as per step one), go back to OneDrive --> Me --> Settings --> (now the "Camera upload" has appeared again) so click it --> if the "Camera upload account" is blank, the "Camera upload" button will be grayed out so enter your Microsoft account in the "Camera upload account" first --> and finally enable the Camera upload" button.

And after that everything started to work and syncing fine again.

Samsung and Microsoft need to work together to resolve this issue. It is good for the photos on a Samsung phone to be synced with a Samsung folder in OneDrive but not at the expense of the Camera (Roll) Upload because the facility that the Camera Upload provides means that if you delete the photos from your phone they still remain in Camera Roll in One Drive on your PC. I like this not just because it is a back-up but because I can then distribute the photos to different folders on my PC as I prefer to keep most of my photos on my PC.

BUT....it has to be said that if you you allow the Samsung Gallery to sync with OneDrive you then get synchronisation for ALL of you photo folders on your Samsung phone into the new Samsung Gallery folder in OneDrive in the Cloud and on your PC, and they all upload/sync automatically. Overall this is probably better than just Camera Upload.

In order to activate that feature, try this:

In the OneDrive app, tap the Me icon in OneDrive app for iOS at the bottom of the app, then tap Settings, next Camera upload and Set Camera upload to On.

"Important: Camera Upload can only be used on one account at a time. If you are also a OneDrive for Business user, select the appropriate Camera upload account." Normally this feature only works with personal accounts, doesn't works with School or business accounts.

rdazarola - the camera upload setting has gone, seemingly if the Samsung Gallery setting is set to upload to OneDrive automatically. I am very disappointed to lose the camera upload setting if the Samsung Gallery is set to upload to OneDrive therefore I have removed Samsung Gallery setting to upload to One Drive and so the Camera Upload returns.

I love how completely clueless Microsoft workers are to their own product.

You have synced Gallary to your One Drive, this disables the camera upload feature. You need to remove your Samsung account from your Onedrive account.  Heres a link on how to unsync:

WT_013 - Thank you for this solution, I looked everywhere for this. The Camera Upload function is very useful, cannot believe that collectively Samsung and Microsoft managed to disable this function whilst enabling Samsung Gallery to upload to One Drive.
