Cannot enable OneDrive 'Camera Upload'

Hello,

I want to free up space on my Samsung Galaxy Note 10+.

When I try to enable 'Free up space on the device' in the OneDrive app, I get the message:

'Camera upload must be enabled ...'

The problem is that there is no camera upload setting anymore.

Or am I missing something here ...?

I use the latest version of Android and version 6.1.1 of OneDrive.

    There is NO camera upload!!!! Please see 4 attachments! Some sync but not all and the numbers change everyday and files move around....I HATE ONEDRIVE

    Had the same issue on Samsung S10 and solved it.

    Turned off sync photos via the Samsung account.

    The same issue that OneDrive setting is greyed out and doesn't turn on.

    Went to Settings>Accounts and backup>Accounts

    Select your OneDrive account and turn on Media Sync. That seemed to turn on photo sync in the OneDrive app.

    The problem with this solution is that Media Sync defaults to turning itself off for some reason and therefore this does not work long term.

    "Go to onedrive webpage and under additional security options just remove your Samsung account"

    My onedrive account is connected to a completely different email account that isn't aware of the Samsung account. Samsung seems to have unilaterally decided to turn this on. It also failed to migrate my OneDrive backup settings from my old Samsung phone.
