Microsoft To-Do Sync Issues

I've finally made the switch from Wunderlist to Microsoft To-Do, but it hasn't gone as smoothly as I had wanted.

I am signed into three devices using To-Do: Web client in browser, iPhone and iPad.

I have successfully imported all my tasks from Wunderlist to To-Do, but my reminder notifications aren't showing on my iOS devices. They have successfully synced, but the web client is the only device showing reminder notifications. I have tried closing apps and signing out and back in again, to no avail.

After a little experimenting, the notification will only show on the device where I change the reminder notification time. For example, changing the reminder notification time on the web client results in the notification showing only on that device. The same applies to each iOS device.

Not sure if this is a bug or by design, but I rely on these reminder notifications on different devices to get my things done. I simply can't use it without this ability, which worked perfectly on Wunderlist.

Any suggestions as to where I might be going wrong, or simply some general advice would be greatly appreciated.

    My issues with Microsoft To Do app: It is install on my Microsoft Surface Pro running Windows 10 and my iPhone with the latest iOS 13.4.1. I understand that both software are apps since the Surface Pro is a tablet but they DO NOT sync. I make sure that the settings and login details on both devices are exactly the same but the issues remains. If anyone have some tips please let me know. Cheers, tnf.

    I am having Micosoft To-do IOS sync issues as well.  What is unsettling is that it is inconsistent.  I happened to notice a few todos on the Windows 10 app that were not showing up on my ipad app.  However, changes were showing up on my Android device.  So it just seems to be the ipad that isnt catching all changes during sync.

    Most of the time they all seem to sync fine, but it is disturbing to run across a few outliers and realize you dont have everything synced.

    Sadly, MS drove a perfectly fine Wunderlist into the ditch! Wunderlist users did not want to to switch to MS's "To-Do." 

    Wunderlist had worked PERFECTLY for YEARS.  Now, since being forced to switch to To-Do, we've had nothing but syncing issuesespecially if someone is at the grocery and someone else adds something to that To-Do list.  The adds either takes forever to surface on other's To-Dos or worse still, the adds never show up!

    BTW, MS BURIED the SYNC button way down in the setup menus when it should be handy nearby. That brilliance just makes this worse.  The SYNC button should be easily accessible and clearly visible.  My whole family is irate and so disappointed in To-Do since we were FORCED to migrate from Wunderlist.  

    The MS development team responsible for mangling Wunderlist into To-Do needs to fix the syncing issues - NOW!!!

    MS needs to stop assimilating perfectly good software and turning it into ****.   I cannot believe this thread is this OLD and customers continue having sync issues as reported for months and months.  Where are those change it by the week CICD pipelines?  Where's the customer responsiveness?   We have nothing but marginal to poor customer support and clearly MS has a very poor understanding of how Wunderlist customers were using the outstanding original product. 

    Sadly, my family thinks it is time to start reviewing options for something else that's reliable, functions correctly and consistentlyand is as robust as our beloved Wunderlist did before MS assimilated it, mangled it's follow-on and then terminated the working solution.  Another great example of design by committee likely with little or no attention paid to the customer based they are alienating.  Gotta love it, "We know best...." Nothing has changed at MS in the past 30 years.    RIP Wunderlist.

    I totally agree. I wish Microsoft would leave all the features and functionality of Wunderlist. 

    Todo has great potential, but it's broken.
