Microsoft To-Do Sync Issues

I've finally made the switch from Wunderlist to Microsoft To-Do, but it hasn't gone as smoothly as I had wanted.

I am signed into three devices using To-Do: Web client in browser, iPhone and iPad.

I have successfully imported all my tasks from Wunderlist to To-Do, but my reminder notifications aren't showing on my iOS devices. They have successfully synced, but the web client is the only device showing reminder notifications. I have tried closing apps and signing out and back in again, to no avail.

After a little experimenting, the notification will only show on the device where I change the reminder notification time. For example, changing the reminder notification time on the web client results in the notification showing only on that device. The same applies to each iOS device.

Not sure if this is a bug or by design, but I rely on these reminder notifications on different devices to get my things done. I simply can't use it without this ability, which worked perfectly on Wunderlist.

Any suggestions as to where I might be going wrong, or simply some general advice would be greatly appreciated.

    I am having Micosoft To-do IOS sync issues as well.  What is unsettling is that it is inconsistent.  I happened to notice a few todos on the Windows 10 app that were not showing up on my ipad app.  However, changes were showing up on my Android device.  So it just seems to be the ipad that isnt catching all changes during sync.

    Most of the time they all seem to sync fine, but it is disturbing to run across a few outliers and realize you dont have everything synced.

    My issues with Microsoft To Do app: It is install on my Microsoft Surface Pro running Windows 10 and my iPhone with the latest iOS 13.4.1. I understand that both software are apps since the Surface Pro is a tablet but they DO NOT sync. I make sure that the settings and login details on both devices are exactly the same but the issues remains. If anyone have some tips please let me know. Cheers, tnf.

    This worked for me! Thanks! Actually on Step 13, I deleted then re-installed the app on iPhone.

    Hi Dustin S6,

    Things are now working for me. This is what I did:

    I signed out of Microsoft To Do application on my Mac and signed back in.

    When I did that, the Microsoft To Do application re-synced/re-migrated the last list/tasks that I had in Wunderlist (over a week old).

    Unfortunately, the re-sync/re-migration also caused the new lists/tasks on the Microsoft To Do app on my iPhone to be overwritten. This is the Microsoft To Do list/tasks that I have been entering for a week on my iPhone only.

    After signing out, signing in, and re-syncing/re-migration, Microsoft To Do seems to be working fine. When I enter a new list/task on the Mac it instantly appears on my iPhone and vice versa.

    I would recommend you save/take a screenshot of any new tasks that are either on your desktop or mobile device before signing out, signing in, and doing a re-sync/re-migration. You would need to manually key them in later. I don't know how to automatically export lists/tasks.

    I am having similar, if not the same issues. I came from Wunderlist as well. I make changes on the To Do website on my work computer, they are not sychronizing when I pull up the To Do website on my MacBook. This is basic stuff. This should work.
