Microsoft To-Do Sync Issues

I've finally made the switch from Wunderlist to Microsoft To-Do, but it hasn't gone as smoothly as I had wanted.

I am signed into three devices using To-Do: Web client in browser, iPhone and iPad.

I have successfully imported all my tasks from Wunderlist to To-Do, but my reminder notifications aren't showing on my iOS devices. They have successfully synced, but the web client is the only device showing reminder notifications. I have tried closing apps and signing out and back in again, to no avail.

After a little experimenting, the notification will only show on the device where I change the reminder notification time. For example, changing the reminder notification time on the web client results in the notification showing only on that device. The same applies to each iOS device.

Not sure if this is a bug or by design, but I rely on these reminder notifications on different devices to get my things done. I simply can't use it without this ability, which worked perfectly on Wunderlist.

Any suggestions as to where I might be going wrong, or simply some general advice would be greatly appreciated.

    I am also experiencing a sync issue on iOS.  Android works fine.  Our shared lists so syncing on iOS, it feels like they're not syncing in the background.

    My entire family is asking for Winderlist back!

    I am experiencing a similar issue. Microsoft To Do lists on which I am an Owner are not visible on Apple Reminders by those with whom I have shared the list. The same happens in the reverse direction, also; Microsoft To Do lists shared with me by their Owner are not visible on Apple Reminders for me. This is the case for macOS and iOS both.

    I would rather not migrate everyone off Apple Reminders because Apple Reminders aggregates to do lists from more than 1 account whereas Microsoft To Do only allows 1 account to be currently signed on.

    My 2 favorite to do list software lack simple, but crucial, features preventing them from being the best in the world:

    • Apple Reminders cannot synchronize with non-Apple operating systems and
    • Microsoft To Do cannot synchronize more than one account.
    • Both do not place to do tasks on calendars so that tasks and meeting events can be visualized.

    I have the same problems.

    My iOS To Do app does not sync with my wife's assigned tasks.

    Worse, it does not sync to my iMac desktop application.

    The help page seems pretty useless as it does not bring any sync topic up.

    Any ideas anyone?

    Just installed ToDo to see if it would be a good replacement for Apple Tasks.

    Create tasks on macOS and expect them to sync to my phone automatically.  Doesn't happen.  I have to open the app on iOS and refresh before they will show up.  If tasks don't sync what's the point? Makes the "new" widget in iOS pretty useless.

    I'm having issues syncing shared lists with my wife. I first thought the issue was with the iPhone app, but no. To test, I opened each account with the web version of To Do in the browser and also the phone apps. (So two browser tabs and two phones.) When a list invitee adds an item from web or phone, it's propagated to both accounts (web and phone). But when the list owner adds an item, it's only propagated to that user (web and phone). So definitely the issue is on Microsoft's servers.

    I would qualify this as a critical issue. If you can't reliably sync lists, then the app is no good. One needs to have trust in the syncing, and it's been failing too much lately.

    Don't do it. I tried To do in teams and it was terrible. They did an upgrade on the backend and lost all of my work tasks, with no ability to get them back from backups.

    I'm having the same issues with to do on IOS between my wifes phone and mine. She has written the shopping list (50+ items) and they just will not sync between her and mine list. Shared list, been working for months. Now all of a sudden not working.

    Microsoft products are garbage. They seem to think everything they upgrade is in some kind of beta program, who cares if it affects there customers.
