Office Installation stuck at 2% (Office for Windows)

I was trying to install Microsoft Office 365 & Home & Student on My Customer's Computer and Most of the times Installation will stuck on 2%. I did not find any Solution in this Forum nor anywhere else so i fixed this issue by following Method ?

Once the installation is stuck on 2%, I open Task manager and went to Details and End the office oneclick Processes. Once Processes ends i started the Installation and Walaaa it worked and office starting the Installation and did not stuck anymore. 

Note:If it did not help anyone, You may need to End Process the Service again and it will 100% work.

    Dear Louie,

    I am facing the same issue since yesterday.

    I am a Microsoft HUP user of Office Pro Plus 2016. My order # CNL553342121. I made the purchase on October 2017.

    My Office apps stopped working yesterday, not launching at all. So I uninstalled it and when trying to install it is stuck at 2% for 3-4 hours with this status message "Office is installing in the background (2%)".

    I have tried the Office uninstaller tool as recommended in another community discussion but it did not help.

    I downloaded the setup file from the order mail I got from Microsoft multiple times.

    I also visited https://setup.office.com/, singed in and validated my Product Key, and then downloaded the setup file from the download link provided and still I face the same issue.

    Can you help me with this issue?

    Try to install Office x64 setup Manually....{ setup64.exe } , it Works in offline & online too

    Another option is to use the offline installer which is another one of the options given if you do not choose to install automatically.  I did this just a short time ago and it worked.  Whole process took less than 20 minutes.

    Download Microsoft’s SARA Support and Recovery Assistant.

    Choose trouble installing Office. 

    Patience. Many delays between messages requiring andwers.

    SARA ran diagnostics

    Required a reboot

    Loaded Office

    Worked for me! Good luck.

    This link worked for me. Install was stuck at 2%.

    2 options here, I did their 2nd option:

    **Note that their walkthrough has an error, as you have to change the XML file name to match either the 32 or 64 bit, my walkthrough is for 64 bit.

    After you download the ISO, right click the ISO and mount it. Browse to that mounted ISO via windows explorer and copy over the 'Office' directory from it over to the c:\office365\ folder that they have you create (all of the office folder contents)

    Edit the c:\office365\configuration-Office365-x64.xml file.

    My config xml looked like this:

    <Configuration>

    <Add SourcePath="C:\office365" OfficeClientEdition="64" Channel="Monthly">

        <Product ID="O365ProPlusRetail">

          <Language ID="en-us" />

        </Product>

        <Product ID="VisioProRetail">

          <Language ID="en-us" />

        </Product>

      </Add>

    <!--  <Updates Enabled="TRUE" Channel="Monthly" /> -->

    <!--  <Display Level="None" AcceptEULA="TRUE" />  -->

    <!--  <Property Name="AUTOACTIVATE" Value="1" />  -->

    </Configuration>

    Then open an elevated command prompt and type: 

    cd c:\Office365

    Once in the directory type:

    setup.exe /configure configuration-Office365-x64.xml

    The install kicked off and finished successfully finished for me.
