The document library view for a specific site (/sitename/Shared%20Documents/Forms/AllItems.aspx) shows the document library briefly, and then changes to a blank white page. It doesn't happen to all users. It does happen to one of the site owners. The user with this problem is using Chrome, but so are the users who are not experiencing this problem. What could be causing this?

Thanks for this comment, Paul--good to know it isn't just me! If it happens again, it's good to know that perhaps clearing the cached data will help.

Hi Oliver
This isn't that much of an isolated issue it appears. One of our clients is getting this problem intermittently. So far 2 separate users have had the issue on separate days and I had the same problem myself on a different client's SharePoint just yesterday. In each case I believe the problem was in Chrome though as far as I am aware no other browsers have been tried. The problem is always resolved by clearing the cached browser data (just data not cookies or passwords etc). One user tried clearing just the last 4 weeks cached data as the problem had only occurred on one day but that did not resolve the issue. He had to clear all cached browser data to get it fixed. It initially happened before Christmas for both users on that site, with one of them experiencing the issue again yesterday and today and as I said I had it yesterday. Any suggestion as to what could be causing this to occur and a better fix than having to keep clearing the cache?
Thanks
Paul.
Hi Sherri,
Thanks for the updates. We will follow up this thread for you.
Best regards,
Oliver
Hi Oliver,
I will confess that I myself am the user with this problem! So I guess this post was akin to "asking for a friend." Ah well.
The problem does not happen as of this morning in either Chrome or Firefox. The issue is that this is intermittent--it's happened twice to me, then seems to be cleared up (but I don't know why), and then happens again. If this problem reoccurs, I will use the two strategies listed above to do further troubleshooting. I do believe that it didn't impact other libraries, just the one in question. And I'm an owner of that site.
Thanks for following up.
