Error when trying to login in to Microsoft Teams

I have been having issues logging into Microsoft teams and I seem to be the only account in the organization unable to login. The administrator confirmed that it was activated however, I still receive the error message about missing out and to contact the administrator. The account administrator removed the license and re-added it for my account. I also received an email from Microsoft about having conferencing for Microsoft Teams or Skype for business online once the license was added back on. (I received this email before as well when Microsoft teams was activated). I am not sure what is going on and the administrator has tried everything as well. I'm having issues on all platforms using the desktop client, the app on my computer, and my iPhone app. I am able to login with my other companies information without any issues so I know it isn't my computer or phone. Any other options for us to try before we give up?

Hi Issueshelp,

From your description, I'd like to conclude your situation as following points, please feel free to correct me if there is any misunderstanding:

  1. You cannot sign into your account in the Teams desktop client, Teams web APP as well as the Teams APP of your iPhone.
  2. Your colleague's account can successfully log in to Teams on your computer and mobile phone.

In this situation, please kindly try to removing stored user credentials in the Credential Manager via using Control Panel to check this issue.

If the issue persists, try to clear the Teams caches: exit Teams completely, go to***%appdata%\Microsoft\teams\Cache*** and delete all the files. Then go to %appdata%\Microsoft\teams\Application Cache\Cache, delete all the files. Re-open Teams to see if you can sign in successfully.

Similarly, if you still cannot sign into your account in the Teams web app after clear the Windows credentials, it is recommended to clear the browser's caches and cookies and try again.

Moreover, to narrow down this issue and help you more efficiently, we need to collect following information for analysis:

  1. Did you receive the same error message in the Teams desktop client, Teams web APP and the Teams APP on your iPhone? Please provide us screenshoots of the error messages for analysis.
  2. Please check if you can sign into your account in your colleague‘s computer.
  3. If convenience, please change to a different network environment and check the result.
  4. Can you sign in to Teams before? Please send us a screenshoot of your account licenses for analysis, thanks for your understanding.

Best regards,

Jennifer

I am trying to setup a new Teams account seeing I've been invited to and have never used it before.

I have several Microsoft accounts and attempting to enter one of them it asks for a password then a phone number.

That's where the problem occurs it sends a code. I enter it and then says the phone number is already in use.

Well obviously it is! Because the phone number is used as an authentication with that account!

And the phone receives the code because that phone number is correct and associated with that account !!!

If I try another account the same thing happens !!!

What sort of ****-wit programmers are in Microsoft to do this totally illogical thing!!!

Like many other simple things in Windows that have NOT BEEN SORTED OUT yet pretty new icons and new Start menu's and Taskbars get a priority.

I could say **** - OFF FOR TEAMS and you might want me to **** off too when you read this but having used computers since 1984 I really wonder if the wiz-kids are now in charge supervising the programmers at the lolly shop which is Microsoft!

And please don't wish me a nice day and tell me you are going to solve my problem if you are really not!

I notice there are already 5 pages of correspondence on this and associated matters!!!

Hi, I have trouble login in my MS TEAMS account. My account name and pass code is right but whenever I logged in, a board of "welcome you to MS TEAMS, how do you want to appear on Team" showed up, I filled every space legitimately but when I hit Next button, both TEAMS web and TEAMS App tell me it cannot update my information.

Please help me, i'm a student and I need my MS Teams account for my studying.

    Thank you so much.

From one day to the other it is impossible for me to login to Teams from my company MS account on my own computer. I can only use the MS account logged in to the local computer. (YES.. Cleared cache, reinstalled, restarted, you name it).. Desktop app / Browser, same thing.

From my company phone I can log in to teams with my company MS account, so that's the "workaround"

Despite the marketing hype, this renders Teams a rather ridicules app in real world scenarios, where multiple accounts are used.
