SharePoint Republish Button Disappearing

Recently, when I click the Edit button to go into Editing mode in SharePoint Online, the Republish button doesn't display where it used to. In order to get it to show back up I have to refresh the page.

  1. Click Edit button.

  1. Republish button missing.

  1. Refresh the page. This popup keeps reappearing no matter how many times I close it out.

  1. After closing the pop-up, the Republish button has returned.

  1. Clicking the Republish button puts me back at Step 1. I have to go through this process every time I want to Republish any page.

As you can see, this quickly becomes annoying. Please help!

    It's happening to me right now, so I don't think this has been fixed. I have to refresh the page to get the Republish button back.

    I have been editing off and on for a few days, and can no longer duplicate the problem. I am hopeful this has been fixed.

    Seems to be really messed up - now when I edit and then click "update news" I see the edit button again as expected but the "promoted state " doesn't update to 2 so when I refresh I get the "update news" button again.  Seriously could Msft try and recognize that this is a bug needing to be fixed?

    This hasn't been fixed or even acknowledged by Msft as a bug.

    Hi everyone,

    It appears the incorrect behavior is back again in my tenant. I took a couple of days off from editing and I'm back at it and noticed the same issue occurring again.

    - Click "Edit" button

    • "Republish" button does not appear
    • Refresh the page
    • "Republish" button appears
    • Make edits
    • click "Republish" button

    I will continue to monitor.
