SharePoint Republish Button Disappearing

Recently, when I click the Edit button to go into Editing mode in SharePoint Online, the Republish button doesn't display where it used to. In order to get it to show back up I have to refresh the page.

  1. Click Edit button.

  1. Republish button missing.

  1. Refresh the page. This popup keeps reappearing no matter how many times I close it out.

  1. After closing the pop-up, the Republish button has returned.

  1. Clicking the Republish button puts me back at Step 1. I have to go through this process every time I want to Republish any page.

As you can see, this quickly becomes annoying. Please help!

    Unfortunately that doesn't work for me. It starts with a republish button and then as I am editing it changes to saved.

    I had the same problem of everything I changed disappearing. My rule of thumb now is that whenever I hit edit, immediately look to see if "Republish" is missing. If it is, then immediately click the refresh on the browser and go through the process. If doing this first before making any edits, you can now do all the edits without worrying that anything will be deleted when Republishing. Hope this helps.

    I'm still having the republish button error and that annoying popup. The disappearing republish button has been happening for months! It just reverts to 'Page has been saved' and you need to refresh the page the republish. Today I have a new problem of it deleting all the text I am adding!.

    Hi all

    I've been having the same issue however, 

    One thing I have noticed is that this only happens to me on Pages Libraries that have versioning turned on 

    Not sure if this will help with resolution?

    Anyway saving as a draft, then refreshing the page seems to bring back the Republish button

    I would be nice though if there was a extra option where the 'Save as draft' dropdown is for a 'Save as new version' too.

    Sharon,

    I am very sorry to hear that. I was hopeful it was fixed. I just tested my own environment and still can't duplicate the problem. I wish I knew what was causing this.

    I would recommend you or your SharePoint team create a ticket with Microsoft to look into to it. The more complaints they receive, the more serious they will be about solving it.
