I keep getting the following in my office products:

RESTART REQUIRED  Restart office to apply changes to your privacy settings

I have not made any changes to my privacy setting recently yet keep getting these prompts. Anyone else running into and discovered what the cause of it is?

    I spoke too soon.... :(

    The "prompt" is popping up when I sign on, while I'm scrolling mail (from any email accountnot just gmail), and while I'm reading emails from a yahoo groups account or an AOL account. It's as though it's timed to pop up every 30 seconds no matter what I'm doing in Outlookwriting or reading emails.

    I did figure out how to get rid of OneDrive Personal, but it say that if I do that, I can't access emoji's while composing mail in Outlook, access pictures from the Web while in Word or Outlook, and basically have no access to any internet features in any Office 365 programs. So, I'm either stuck with useless programs that are bare bones, or I give up all privacy. And, either way, I STILL keep getting the pop-up prompt for my Google email and password every 30 seconds.

    I trid Morten Wieth's suggestion, and OneDrive Personal is listed. It won't let me remove it as I can't click it on, and there's no option for removing it. 

    Something needs to work. Between getting the "restart to update privacy settings" in Word and Outlook when I haven't changed my privacy settings, I also get a message in those programs after they've been up for a couple of minutes that the programs "have run into a problem and needs to shut down" with repair, shut down or close as the options. It's making using Word and Outlook impossible as I can't read mail without restarting or I lose work in Word when it shuts down unexpectedly. I don't run these programs on any devices other than my desktop PC.

    I've tried contacting MS customer service, but none of their repair suggestions have worked. I am at wit's end because it's becoming impossible to use these programs.

    . In Word >> File >> Account there is a section called Connected Services. And my personal Microsoft account was listed there. I removed it, and that solved the problem :-).

    I also grew tired of this error constantly appearing in Outlook even after first start up of the machine in the morning.

    The above instructions (removing personal account from Connected Services) also fixed it for me...
