Restart Office to apply changes to your privacy settings - endless notices

I keep getting the following in my office products:

RESTART REQUIRED  Restart office to apply changes to your privacy settings

I have not made any changes to my privacy setting recently yet keep getting these prompts. Anyone else running into and discovered what the cause of it is?

    I have waited in a long queue for Microsoft Technician's online help. He took control of my computer, and seemed to delete my login for the Office 365 account, so that Office no longer recognised the licence for Office. There must have been some kind of reset. He then signed me back into Office by using my MS registered email address and there it was fixed. Good work from the technician, and I kept my Privacy Settings as I wanted them! Good result. Shame that MS couldn't give better advice with their "help pages"! Hope this helps!

    I have MS Office 2019 Desktop purchased November 2019 with a brand new Dell machine.  I get this message every time I reboot. 

    I have:

    -Repaired office

    -Repaired online

    -Used Office Support where they looked at my settings

    -Reinstalled Office 

    I still get this message every time I reboot my machine.  It'd love to know why I get it when I have not changed my settings.

    Nothing new on this still. Lack of response is deafening as well as telling from lack of anything from MS. This whole thing began with new updates and making some changes to privacy settings to keep my content more private and not 'mined'.

    It seems new privacy defaults get set with updates. Even after further updates this behaviour remains. 

    Appears if you want to enable privacy you get to endure troublesome and erroneous error messages as a result. 

    Really nice customer oriented behaviour...

    And my latest favorite, "oh, you want to see the report on data we have collected on you, fine but you have to enable Cortana (data collection) in order to access it."

    Um, what?#!

    Yes, I Have restarted my system a number of times since the errors have started.
