Despite having a good WiFi or Ethernet connection, regardless of which network I'm on, if I join a Microsoft Teams call, all network connectivity stops working and teams simultaneously reports poor call quality and no network connectivity. All this while on an active call which I can see and hear. Here's a full description of symptoms.
Every time I connect to a Teams call:
The instant the call ends, all the symptoms stop. I can access network resources again. My wifi connection is fine. I've tested using wired networking and encounter the exact same issue. I've also tried various audio devices and disconnecting all peripherals as longshot solutions. No dice. I don't have anything weird on my system as far as I am aware. Teams works fine on other machines but not on my primary laptop.
This issue not only makes Microsoft Teams itself nearly unusable, it knocks my whole system offline for the duration of the call, which is incredibly frustrating.
I'm booting into Windows 10 on a 2015 MacBook Pro 13". I have all the latest patches for everything. I've seen two other people here who have what I think is the same issue as mine, but their question threads didn't have any solutions either, and now they're locked.
Does anyone have any idea what could be going wrong? Any solutions? Any more info needed from me about my setup?

Update - I still have the issue, but have made some changes which, unfortunately, didn't have any effect (positive/negative).
At this point, I think it's a driver issue or an issue with Teams (like something that might be present even in the version I'm now running).. Maybe it's an underlying configuration problem with the driver (e.g., 'Green Ethernet', as has been mentioned), or something else.. I'm not sure.
I've been running on the built-in Ethernet port on the T490 for roughly a day and, once again, I have no issues.
Well I'm glad I found this thread because I thought I was going crazy
Dell XPS 13 9300 with CableMatters brand USB-C Dock which has a Gigabit Realtek NIC. After 15-20 mins on a call, the network will drop. I can't disable and re-enable the NIC, I must unplug and re-plug it in
I thought it was a NIC issue, but I can run iperf with no problems for 3+ hours, not a single dropped packet
I am on Win 10 2004, Cisco AnyConnect is installed but not connected
Piling on... same issue. Lenovo T480s, ethernet connection which will drop 10-15 minutes into a call. I've noticed that it happens more when I'm presenting, usually not when I'm in the audience. It's puzzling why that would be the case but it's a clear pattern for me.
The laptop switches to WiFi but I can't reconnect on WiFi at that point, I need a reboot. For next time I'll try starting the call on WiFi from the get-go to see if that allows me to get through my full presentation without issues.
Having the same exact issue as others have stated. Within 3-7 minutes of a Team meeting, others in the meeting will see that I have "frozen" and then about 40 seconds later my Ethernet connection will drop out completely. To regain connectivity and re-join the meeting, I simply unplug the network cable and plug it back in. After the initial loss of connectivity, it doesn't happen again a second time after re-connecting to the meeting. I am using a Lenovo Yoga C740-15IML i7 Windows 10 Enterprise. The dock is a Lenovo Thinkpad Thunderbolt 3 Gen 2 Dock Model DK1841. I have an open ticket with Team's support but they have not been able to figure it out it. It appears to be an issue with the specific driver/hardware used in certain models of docks. The DK1841 uses a Realtek chipset and I suspect there is some sort of incompatibility with the current driver or configuration in the Teams Desktop app.
As a workaround, I have found this issue does not happen in the following situations:
Hopefully this can be sorted out soon...
