Processes in Microsoft 365 for setting up Office apps, redeeming product keys, and activating licenses.
I notice Autoupdate 4.17 is available is there a direct download? I am still having problems with updates.
Thanks
Kent

Well it's now October, and 16.30 just arrived. The MAU still didn't work. I noticed that it's now combined with the update so didn't try to download the updated first this time. But symptoms are all the same - the updater recognized that I needed all applications and told me to install 16.30 and when I saw the progress bar, each package showed download progress but the overall download progress kept resetting each time to zero and the package didn't finish saving on my Mac. At the end I got the telltale message "One or more packages..."
This is the problem that Microsoft doesn't want to fix because they don't have enough people reporting it or saying they have the problem.
So I'm a 365 subscriber who pays money to have what Microsoft described as the package I was purchasing and they're not going to provide it.
I guess this is what happens when integrity is an option left up to the workers and not the leaders.

Hi Michael,
There are 2 locations for the log files, one is the temp file as I mentioned in the previous reply:
Please go to the folder /private/var/folders/5v/9hp4r0s51t1g2b17p6xjz18m0000gn(This folder's name could be different on each Mac)/T/ See if you can find the log file called TelemetryUploadFilecom.microsoft.autoupdate.fba.txt
Another is the MAU updates log which is located at ~/Library/Logs/Microsoft, the log file name should be autoupdate.log
You can update those files to your OneDrive and share us a link here.

Hi Alex,
No problems. I am still amazed duplicating the account that didn't work using the migration tool worked...but I am not complaining!
Alex
Yes - it's been a while since I did this - but I will do it again. I just need to find the time and of course I need to wait for another update after 4.16 as I already have that.
Sorry to ask his but it's been a while since I grabbed a log file - can you point me to the procedures for that please?
Hi Steve,
Thanks for sharing this solution to us.
@Michael, as we have already tried the new user profile method before, I am not sure if it will resolve the problem this time. However, it's good to give it a shot. Also, if it failed again, please provide the latest MAU log file to us. Much appreciate.
