MAU still didn't work

Well it's now October, and 16.30 just arrived. The MAU still didn't work. I noticed that it's now combined with the update so didn't try to download the updated first this time. But symptoms are all the same - the updater recognized that I needed all applications and told me to install 16.30 and when I saw the progress bar, each package showed download progress but the overall download progress kept resetting each time to zero and the package didn't finish saving on my Mac. At the end I got the telltale message "One or more packages..." 

This is the problem that Microsoft doesn't want to fix because they don't have enough people reporting it or saying they have the problem. 

So I'm a 365 subscriber who pays money to have what Microsoft described as the package I was purchasing and they're not going to provide it.

I guess this is what happens when integrity is an option left up to the workers and not the leaders.

    Hi Kent,

    You're right if you're talking about the AutoUpdate app itself. I was thinking about the Smile button in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

    While AutoUpdate is running choose Help and then you can send feedback.

    Hi Jim,

    I am well aware of the issues with insider issues. On the version of Office 365, there isn't a smiley or sad face in any corners. Should I be concerned about that?

    I do appreciate your help. Any other advice would be appreciated.

    Hi

    Use the Smile button in any Office app to report the AutoUpdate issue to Microsoft.

    Insider Slow just lets you have upcoming general release builds a few days sooner than everyone else. You can think of it as a way to put yourself at the beginning of the update queue. Microsoft hopes that any last second major issues will be discovered and reported by users before everyone else gets the update, but so far I don't think anything major like that has turned up in an Insider Slow build.

    Insider Fast builds are a whole other story. They are pre-beta builds with bug fixes and new features included specifically for testing purposes. They are weekly and are not officially supported. I recommend them to people who are experiencing unresolved issues (such as this one with AutoUpdate), partially resolved issues such as Catalina's graphics card problems, and for those who want to try new features that no one else has yet and offer their comments and opinions about the new features to Microsoft to help shape their final release. An Office 365 subscription in a non-managed environment is required.

    Good morning Jim,

    Here's my display information...

    As you can see, I do not think this is my problem. I went through the process of creating another user and running the auto-update. Nothing works, I even deleted all traces of Office and reinstalled, but nothing works.

    Any ideas? I wish Microsoft would make the individual insider fast and slow available for download.
