Onedrive sync was working fine and then suddenly stopped working yesterday.

I have unliked, relinked my account

made sure that office is up to date

restarted/shut down multiple times

what isn't working?

    Open the Run command (Win+R) and type the following in (or navigate to it in Windows Explorer:

    %LocalAppData%\Microsoft\OneDrive\settings\Personal\

    Open ClientPolicy.ini

    Find the MaxClientMBTransferredPerDay variable and change its value from 537600 (525GB) to something higher, like 5376000 (5250GB)

    Restart OneDrive

    FYI, if you have a Mac, the file can be found under:

    Users/*username*/Library/Application Support/OneDrive/Settings/Personal/ClientPolicy.ini

    To get to the Library Folder, open a new Finder window, in the menu bar, select "Go". Hold down the Option key and "Library" should magically appear.

    and for future - i am the original poster and this is a key fix for me.  I just installed a Windows update and this file reverted to the original parameter.  I just updated it and hope that that works again.

    YES!  OMG I actually went through and REINSTALLED ONEDRIVE after thinking I hit a terrible bug, having tried to download our entire store onto a new 1tb local NVMe disk.  Turns out this "bug" is a policy ini setting?!?!?! 🤦‍♂️  Glad I found this thread before trying to reinstall AGAIN.

    OneDrive is pretty good in many ways, but then there is stuff like this that makes you go... really?!

    Hi! Yes, there's a per-day limit which for some reason isn't publicized.

    Go to: C:\Users<username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\OneDrive\settings\Personal\ClientPolicy.ini and change MaxClientMBTransferredPerDay from 537600 to something higher, such as 1537600.
