Onenote for Kindle: Error 80004005

Redmond you have the problem, but then you knew that. This is the issue for supported devises/OS. I know I  bought a Windows Mobile. Then it was decided that it should not be upgraded to Win10 Mobile: outcome  now I can't use Skype on it and I have a contract and have been with it since 03. You buy/run these applications at risk of a corporate volte face, as happens regularly at Microsoft. Look at Window 10S, one minute it's a proper version, then it's demoted to an App and no doubt that will be reversed! BC

Actually, what's really frustrating here is that Microsoft's last response on this (over two weeks ago now), was that they "already fixed" this, which shows they either don't have an understanding of the issue, fixed the wrong issue, or don't know how to distribute their fix.

Now they have gone mute on this issue, so i guess they are ignoring it.

I'm a big user and "convert" to the Microsoft One-X cloud of things.  I'd very much like to see the OneNote/OneDrive thing fixed.  And, no, I'm not threatening to leave the MS-Ocloud just because they can't seem to make the stuff I rely on work on one of the thousand variations of Android.  I'll just not use my FireHD for this use case.

I am amazed at this thread (Microsoft take note)......it went from a "I have this issue and here's the problem" to a thread about how to replace Microsoft products.  I find that very interesting and very entertaining from a Microsoft-perspective.

Not every bug in software can be repaired quickly....that's a given.  But, it might be nice to hear from the MS folks about whether this will be addressed and maybe a "when".

The frustration for me is the fact that I am a real Microsoft fangirl, but life keeps happening and people have got things to do!

As a developer myself, I understand that things are not always to quickest to fix but if there is one thing I have learned, it's talk about it with your end users. People are usually happy if even a rough timeline is given to them, it's the lack of feedback that pushes folks to start looking for alternatives.

I've had Evernote for ten years plus. The problem is I'm not prepared to pay for their Premium User, hence One Note. I'd also recommend Slack which I use  for files and transfers from my partner's PCs, its very handy, and so far not a cost. If you have Office 365 fine, but I'm not a fan of this focus to monthly charging,  it costs a lot more in the run. I use Office 2010 + 2013 Pro Plus on several PCs and see no reason to change. BC
